If the 4 buckets are out of an older car it could look pretty cool. I was thinking about doing this with mine but kept the bench seats. I am with the rest of the posters here, it does not seem like the rectangular tailights flow very well with the rounded car. There are many other lighting options out there that someone probabally never thought of to put in one of these cars., keep in mind you are customizing a rounded car and trying to keep or better the flow not put a square peg in a round hole.

If you don't like the way they turn out undo it. Great thing about metal it can be replaced or repaired. You can always french them in and extend the points of the stock bezels. Throw some Lees Lenses in it. All in all less than 100 bucks if you play your cards right.

I like that...but would love to have more height in the light. I do want to mold my tailpan like that though... I think that's gonna be my next project over this weekend.

You're sure right it is messy!! My wife gives me HELL about it everyday!! I'm at a good point in the project where it's time to pull the car out, clean out the garage and reverse the car back in their so I can pull the motor and drop the chassis so that I can finish the final welding.

They may not be hard to find on the West Coast or in the Mid-West but in Atlanta Georgia...they are hard as hell to fine unless you're buying them new and that being said the tail light repair panel.

I've seen this same treatment with two of the same lenses stacked so they looked like one piece, looked really good that way, something to consider. The lenses are available new fairly cheap and you clearly have the skills to make the sheetmetal surrounds from scratch.....
