The proportions could not be improved in anyway in my opinion,, the man has a good eye. I would be proud to say I built that truck. Has to be the coolest AD ever.

  3. Cool story.
Props to all involved in motivating or convincing M.L. to free this creation from bondage and give it another chance to live. Definitely some sweet bodywork there. Keep us posted on the progress.

  4. That is a cool story and truck! Hopefully I can get up there and see it in person in a couple weeks.

  7. Wow, that's an awesome truck! I would Clear over that, I'd feel bad painting it. Then again, I'm not everyone.

Thanks for all of the kind words. Yesterday was so Kool watching W.L. sit back and
stare at his truck. In his garage, he couldn't do that, he couldn't get back far enough
to sit back and check out the body work. He never wanted to drive it because he
    wanted to watch it cruise.

We need to do that with our Kustoms and Hot rods. Let other drive them so we can
    see how blessed we are.

    Happy Trails, Mick

The proportions are spot on for a full custom truck. Admirable, especially for someone who worked entirely in a small garage without being able to step back and check out his work from a distance.

Can't wait to see this one finished!

  11. That is SO cool!!! I can't wait t osee it in one color.....what color would that be do you know?

Rod is going to fix a few spots and just shoot it flat black for the SK500. Truck needs
a little TLC before paint. But we hope to have it shinny sometime soon.

WL Martin built this truck in a small garage many years ago and I watched it all come together. I was amazed at the talent coming from this man. He had a very minimum of tools and equipment, but he was a master with his torch, hammers and dollies. I have not seen the truck in 33 years and it is mindblowing to finally see it outdoors from a distance.
WL, you are 'THE MAN'! Can't wait to see it again in person.
You Stray Kat boys have pulled off a big one this time!!!!

Great looking truck for sure! Good on everyone involved for getting this thing back into the light.
Are the wrapped up Cokers in the background going on the truck?

WL Martin is the real deal ol school kustom king, the blood sweet an tears kustomizer who welded every round inch Himself with a torch. The top was chopped under a shade tree with a skill saw. The original windshield was cut 1/4" at a time (unfortunately it cracked shortly after its completion). It is an honor to be a close friend with WL an help get what I believe is one of the Koolest Kustom Trucks we will ever see out where we can do just that, See! This is gonna be one of the Koolest SKover500s since someone yeld that Stuckey built the Lil Coffin. I look forward to seeing You all there. Aaron

"Didn't want to show it 'cause it wasn't good enough" - WOW what an understatement, this truck is tops. In my most humblest of opinions all it needs is a set of chromed reversed rims and w/whites to be perfect.

    Some detail pics..

Checkout the radiator. Can you guess what it is off of? W.L. used what he had
and he was giving this radiator from where he use to work. It is off of a front
end loader. How kool is that.

Ewven though the Truck is cut there is still room, W.L did the interior himself. He
cut out each diamond and hand sewn them on. Seats are from an early Mustang.
