    Not a big acomplishment,but nessesary non-the-less.
Built the prop rod for the 'glass deck lid.
Yesterday we sent the wheels out to be polished, and are super excited to see them when they are done. Should be getting them back today.

What kind of wheels did you use for your wheelis bars? What did you attach the bars to?

Where did you get the wheels polished at? I need to have mine touched up if it's not too spendy. Did they do it with the tires mounted?

Have you hit the Portland swap meet this weekend yet?

I had a guy I found on CL do em'. He just got done doing the Halibrands on the Jungle Jim Funny Car,so I figured he could be trusted.
Great job and guys,Him and his son.
Normally,I think they would have been 40 a wheel. And yes, with the tires on.
But we had to have a lot of pitting and such taken out. So it was like 50 a wheel.

Believe it or not............I got em at Harbor Freight.Time will tell if that was a good idea.
I welded brackets to the wheelie bar spring, and bolted them to the frame

Got upper window opening trim polished and install w/gaskets. Got the trunk cove molding on( the 'glass trunk made that FUN:eek:)
Built bumper brackets and mounted the fiberglass bumper.(The pic looks like the bumper isnt on right.......its because we just held it up,not bolted on to take a pic.)
And made the removable 'chute mount.Still have to make the bag mount.
The plans are with the bumper is to take it to a sign shop and have it wrapped with chrome vinyl. Might look pretty good......
Also at the big Portland Swap meet last weekend,I scored an EELCO timing cover.

Hey Brandon, look up a company called ALSA they have a chrome finish that can be applied to any surface, would work great on your bumper, in fact they have a wrap that is something like 97% reflectivity of real chrome....

Well, that stuff looks amazing. I called them today, and I only need an 12inch by 7foot peice. They told me they dont do special cuts and the only way to get that size would be to buy a 5foot by 7foot...............for about 499.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Yea,no thanx
Then I emailed a local wrap shop, and they claim they dont have a "chrome" vinyl to do a bumper wrap....URGGGG

When I mocked up the front clip I had used a 63 grill I had laying around.
But I really wanted a '62 (the car is '62).Well my '64 Wagon has a '62 grill in it,so I switched out the one in the wagon and installed it in the wifes car.
    Cleaned up real nice.
We painted the underside of the tilt nose and also installed the hood emblem.

Me and Wifey wanted to tug the car down to a local hot rod block party called "The BigShinDig" in Vancouver. So we washed it up and brought it down so peeps could see how it was coming. We did it last year so it was kinda cool for people to see the progress.
BTW Thanx for all the kind words and encouragemnet
Then when we got home, decided to take HIS and HERS pictures

Significant styling differences for certain, I'm certain that yours will handle with more of a sure footedness..... but the AWB has "Style" [IMG]

You 2 are having fun and enjoying life!

Missed the event in Vancouver. Wife and I were at the beach for our 33rd anniversary. Bet the Nova made a big splash there!
