A friend and I went biking today, about 16 miles to be exact, and something caught my eye so I strayed off of the marked trail and found this thing. I actually know who owns the property it is on,and trust me,I will try my hardest to convince him to not let it rot away any further. Right now it is save-able.

  2. Yup, I see many cool things out on the bike. It seems like you are closer to the world.

Yep, I usually see a lot of stuff when I'm out biking or ridin' the longboard.

  6. Whatever you do, if you don't want that wrecker body, find someone who does. That's a good piece.

I once went with some guys after a guy mountain biking on a snowmobile trail found a batch of cars - including a '51 Merc coupe and a Henry J. Tracked down the owner but he wanted no part of parting with the cars. Probably still there now.

Note the factory fan shroud. The subject of a shroud on early radiators comes up on this board with some frequency.

Ain't the cars you see longboarding a little rusty? I hope your longboard and bike are old and not 1 800 pieces.

That's awesome. Normally when people do a bunch of biking all they find is their waist.

I really really hate when people do not listen. I was back out there yesterday and the truck was SCRAPPED about a year ago!!!!!! The land owner told me he thought I was nuts for wanting it and figured he could get more for scrap....I wanted to cry.

I used to ride MTB at Challenge Park in Joliet, Ill with Team Sally and a bit with the Chicago Freeriders downtown.

Good times. I find all sorts of stuff on my bike.

That vine looks like poison Ivy to me! We have that here in the Methow! Sure sucks when you wading around in it looking at an old treasure and not paying attention to what you're standing in! I've done that a couple of times, and was itching and sracthing for a good solid week! Hopefully I'm wrong about that vine in your pic!

It's a damn grape vine. Go back at harvest time and get the grapes. We make wine with them.

When you ask you'd better act! When somone is made aware of something they kinda forget they even had and nothing happens, the scrap yards benefit.

Never mind the poison ivy... Ever get back from an automotive SAR mission in the woods and find a bloated deer tick attached firmly to the back of your nut sack? Been there...

If you cant save any part of that, try to save the intake manifold and the crankshaft.
