  5. @brad2v - Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!! ... You've restored my faith in the HAMB! :) ... I had purposely posted those two pics the Dick Williams roadster without a caption hoping that someone would point out the historical significance of the car:

that's Danny's 40 sedan next to Steve's Plymouth. Danny's pop had to drive since we didn't have our licenses yet..... man... that's at least 80 lbs ago.... first outside show I ever went to. haven't been the same since.

photobucket is blocked at work, but I can see the pics that have been quoted.

Andy's picnics were always the best.

I was only able to attend the later ones held at the Vallejo Fairgrounds, but I'm sure the early ones at Crow Canyon were spectacular also.

The next best thing these days is the Open House that Roy puts on at the rod shop in SSF every May.

O/T or not, these are just pure unadulterated hot rod bliss! The 70's get short shrift and bad press, but it's coming from folks who didn't live it!

Thanks for sharing all these treasures Todd. They are right smack in the bullseye, the '64 rule notwithstanding. You gotta draw the line somewhere, and everyone should understand (and respect) Ryan's logic . . . but having said that, man, this stuff is pure gold!

    Hello, nwbhotrod,

Any chance you could post up the flyer, or perhaps post a link to the website?

    Thanks in advance!

  18. This is the era that I grew up in, tagging along with Dad to hot rod events. Pictures of the late '60's and 70's "pre-billet" era is what turns my crank!

Thanks for posting these. I've been doing a ton of "right click, save as" in each of these "Andy's" threads.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. For anyone wishing they had a time machine they only need to log on the HAMB every day and your transported back to where ever your hot rod desires want to go.

What fab pix, I see something that echos the times, no less than 3 sports jerseys touting #32 for O.J. Some really gorgeous machines here. Thanx for the memory lanes. ~sololobo~

  30. If TRJ does a volume two of their scrap book, the pics from these Andy's threads should definately be in it. What a time capsule!
