hey all...as some of you may or may not know...my 53 burned up on st patties day.... i had bought this truck...in the avatar in january...as an addition...but the project has now shifted into fast forward...as i want to drive this thing by the end of the year. i will try to post some pics of updates as i work on it. i am learning to weld....and cut and do all sorts of stuff i have always wanted to do so i could build something like this. as far as i know this is a 46 ford cab, idk what the bed is. the front end is at rustyhope right know for a 48 dodge disk conversion (btw i have drums and backing plates from the front end for sale) engine and tranny will be this 394 olds i had bought last year....it was running a couple years ago . the guy kept the engine and scrapped the car.. anyways...thanks for looking... heres some shots of the engine and me mocking up the engine mounts. this had already been mocked up for a 350/350 combo...but i wanted to run this olds engine as a tribute to my other olds that i lost.....
heres another shot of the engine going into the frame... should it be higher? it sits in the frame rails, but the front is kicked up so its not like its real low on the ground....
