Hello everybody, Im going to be converting my 1950 Mercury Coupe dash to a 1949 Mercury Dash. I really like the original Speedometer and clock and think Im going to keep those but change the fuel, oil, temp ect. Anybody have any recommendations for aftermarket gauges that maybe have a vintage or classic look. Maybe some pics? Who knows, maybe Ill even convert the speedometer if I can find a complete setup that tickles my fancy. Thanks for your help and pics

    Here's how I changed mine.
Use search here on H.A.M.B.(Up dated 49 Merc dash)

Twochops, What you did with the gauges looks incredible. Not sure if that can be topped. Thanks for posting.

Not real good photos but I had the upper dash pc. chromed and used white Dolphin gages which were too small for the original Merc gage holes, so I ground out the back of flush mounted closet door pulls to make like a smaller bezel to set the actual gages in and set these into the too large dash holes.
( I'm not real happy with the Dolphin gages, I wouldn't use them again)

I need a good working temperature gauge for my 51 Mercury, if you are going to sell your old gauges. [email protected]
