How do you find something like this? I mean were these just sitting along the road, or were you out riding atv's or what? I just dont understand how something like this just sits out in the middle of nowhere. Jim

  11. I'm not sure exactly what year that New Yorker is, but if it's 51/2/3 it should be a Hemi. From the research I can find, the New Yorker's only got Hemi's. Lower models got poly's as standard equipment and Hemi's optional. Should be a 331 extended bell. Worth double checking on.

  12. Some more I have photographed over the last couple of years.

I checked these out last weekend. I talked to the owner and he said he had a 32 roadster. It played out just the way I thought it would. Here is the "32 roadster" lol

This is the one I should go back for. It's a 34. To bad it's missing the door.

  20. Sorry for the crappy photos. They were taken from a distance with an iPhone.

I just snapped these two photos yesterday afternoon. This Edsel 4 door hardtop is near the town of New Waverly, TX. I talked to the guy on the phone and he said the scrappers have offered to take it.

He said he'd rather see it saved for parts.....and he said he'll take the scrap price for it. It's rusty, but there's lots of good metal there, and the bumpers and chrome look almost perfect.

It's not mine and I don't know the guy other than talking to him on the phone yesterday and I won't make a dime off of it, so this isn't a classified ad.

PM me for details if you want to save it. He said it goes to the crusher soon.

Heres my 2 cents. I see this stuff everyday. Little towns like this have a lot. I can only guess whats behind closed doors. I will add more as I find them. Some are for sale. The pontiac is for sure, but as its been in that spot for at least a couple of years, he must be one of those guys that think it worth a mint. It is on one of the most traveled roads.
