Projects Its a 50's thing

    When we were picking colors for our 57 New Yorker project we decided to keep it in a 50's color combination. The body is a jade metallic and the top and stripe kind of a seafoam color... Looks kinda strange now, but once the 84 tons of chrome go back on it'll be an eye popper!.. Oh yeah, those mags are coming off and the original hubcaps are going back on.

    love it. My Dad had a 57 Belvedere that was a very similar color. He painted it in the driveway in 1964. Nice job.

    We tossed that idea around. There's a bunch of Chrome to go on still, and we liked the look of it against the darker color. Choosing colors is tough. No matter what colors I choose, I'm always sure there was a better combination I missed. So you may well be right. I'll probably keep second guessing my choices till I sell it.

  5. Its a cool combo as is. I was just trying to picture it & I agree with you on the chrome
