Wow. Wow. Wow. I've always liked the '51 Vickys, but there was always something that didn't quite look right about them. Now I know what it was! Amazing job you're doing on this build. Look forward to seeing it in paint. As people have already said, this is going to be a long remembered custom from the modern era. Very cool.
Royal, As a fellow Vicky owner, I commend your efforts. Absolutely awesome. I just got my 5.0 running well enough that I can get the Vicky on the street and put some hours on the engine. Once I am convinced the bugs are all worked out, chopping is next on the list. As I have posted before, your work is highly inspirational. Folks I know ALL say, don't chop it. I just have to and I know that you know what that is all about. Doing what you know is right for your ride. Excellent work pal. Michael
Well, I think that's the nicest thing you've ever called me... ha, ha. Ooouuuch! I just read about your surgery, typical Mark has to go all out... and get a double hernia! I know you're not gonna stay down, gonna try to be Super Man with the metal polish and everything... Don't! just relax and entertain us all on the HAMB or something. Take care buddy!
I figured you'd come up with something more unique than a Crestliner wheel. That's really classy Mark
Hey Skip, sorry to hear you've had some down times. I'm looking forward to seeing Marty's work. Who is doing the interior? I miss out on all the good stuff working 90+ hours a week. Keep well, buddy!
A friend Rob Tayler did the the crack repair and smoothing while Marty LeBar painted it. Chrome at New Age chrome in Fresno, but there are better that can do pot metal.
