Scratch in 4-71 blower case

    I have this case with a scratch in it. What is your opinion is it usable or is it done? I don't want to use it I want to sell it but I want to make sure it's good first.

    It will need to be dressed down though, before use, so there's no chance of further galling.

    X2 on superficial, I've seen some pretty scored cases and end plates dressed and used for diesel service. Turn the case upside down and look or feel the very upper curve where the inlet is, This area should be smooth with no scoring or scratches. How do the rotors look?

    Mine's worse, still makes 8psi.
