Mid 80's GM Door handle and mechanism
    Door panels in.
    Switchbox for the air

Removed the underdash Sears AC unit
    Shifter boot
Air Gauges mounted under the dash

There were some factory holes that need to be covered up. This one was under the driver side seat. Nice warmer on long drives.

With the brake move a new pedal assembly was needed. The brake pedal uses an s10 curved portion with an astro van upper assembly.

The factory holes for the column, pedal and shifter holes were no longer needed
    [IMG]

I had to put in some seat belts for the family adventures. The seat will be rewrapped in dark material.

Next up is to get the suspension complete and start cleaning up the underside of the truck. Paint is down the road. My daughter hasn't figured out the color for 'her' truck.

Nice. I just ordered the stock side windows and hardware. It will eventually go single piece like yours.

Thanks, What kind of carpet/floor mat is in your truck. I need to do something a little better with mine so I can cover some sound deadening/insulation.

I drove the truck without it. Power box but no assist and manual brakes. Steering was interesting. Brakes were usual manual. With the hydroboost it drives so much nicer. Steering is really nice brakes are perfect. When I went to disc in the back helped it stop great. I think its a neat thing to put on. I've got to do something with the lines. I pulled the lineset from a full size chevy so they are a bit long. They will eventually be steel braided. If you want pretty I'd go with Hydratech. I had one for a previous project and was a great unit. I did this one low budget. The unit is out of an astrovan.

The previous owner had the carpet done by his interior guy. He's going to get me the information.

Well the windows parts came in today. The main glass was cracked before. So I guess the bubble wrap was just to show it was fully broken by the time I got it.

The one 'good' windows is the passenger wing
    [IMG]

The good part. Have pretty much everything to roll up windows. Stainless trim for the main windows. Downside missing the rollers that help the frame slide up and down. So may just straight into rail power windows.

    Some minor updates
    [IMG]
Window cranks in. Pull handle until I make the armrest.

The parking lights are from a 52 GMC. One was broken so found some new ones. New gaskets and painted the housings. Here the before and after with the new lens and paint

Underside of the hood was not very nice looking so Sand, Acid , rust converter paint and all cleaned up for now.

Picked up and installed a rear swaybar for it today. Waiting on some suspension parts to get finished machining so that's holding up the rear suspension

The daughters are liking Tan with some metallic in it as the final color of the trucks.

  22. Where did you get the sway bar? Is it custom or from some other car? I could use one like that on my F-1....

    Your truck is looking good!

It's off of a late 90's gen 2 4dr s10 blazer with a 4.3 engine. Surprised it had a complete disc to disc rear end still in it. The sway bay unbolts easily and all but the link brackets come right off.

  24. Thanks man, I forgot you are running an S10 frame.....will check it out and see if it will work with my stock frame.

The mount to the frame is just a hole I drilled for the link bolt to go through on my notches.

The way the sway bar was mounted stock was to the back of the rear end. I moved it underneath so it would clear the suspension brackets on my rear end. Depending on how wide your frame is shouldn't be too bad to add on.

Thanks for the comments. Some cool looking studebakers you guys have there.

Worked on the fuel system today and wiring up the newly restored lights. Going to be doing up the polish and chrome tomorrow.
