I'm sure it seems lame, but I joined the Hamb in 2010 and I never introduced myself. My name is Mark, and I am knee deep in a 51' shoebox build. I plan to start a thread on the shoebox in the near future. I want to say thanks to all the fine folks that contribute such valuble information here on the Hamb. My other ongoing project is the 29' Essex coupe. I attached a couple pictures to check out.
A year and a half on the Hamb without a post, that has to be some sort of record. Nice coupe, will you have it on the road this summer?
I wanted to post a couple pics of the shoebox project also. I got alot of work to do on this girl, but that's what it's all about. Making it your own by building it. The first pic is where it started. The others are progress pics.
Like I said - I been a slacker. I have been lurking and always find such great info from the other forum members. I figured it was about time to start contributing. Keep our hobby alive!
It is shaping up to be a pretty good week here. I am picking up a new Lincoln 180C tomorrow, along with a new Victor oxy setup. My buddy is wiring in the 50amp 220 circuit in the shop next tuesday. I should also be receiving my Gambino and Fatman parts next week. The shoebox is coming along. I am thinking about starting a thread on the build. But do we really need another shoebox thread? What do you guys think?
