This car was stolen out of a friends garage last night april 8th 2012
he lives in ham lake, minnesota which is a northern suburb of minneapolis
    he built this car himself
some guy being chased by the cops crashed the car he was driving and stole this beautiful 1957 chevy wagon
please call 911 if you see it anywhere
you can also send me a pm and i will forward it to the owner

  2. Shouldn't be hard to find ... If this guy only stole it for transportation (flight from police) then he will be swapping it for another less obvious car really soon. I'm guessing it will be found shortly ... hopefully it will not have been crashed.

    Best of luck

I hope the guy didnt drive it deep in the woods and abandon it. That could do a lot of damage

So he crashed the car he *was* in, then was able to get to this ride and steal it without being caught? I presume he was on foot and potentially hurt after the crash. Sucks ass, and I hope its still as nice as the pics.

I will spread the word in the St. Cloud area in case it made it this far.

Hate to hear of another stolen car. But I have to ask, were the keys in it? I must have been a perfect day for the crook, an easy swap to a car that no cop would be looking for in that chase scenario. Not until the owner reported it taken, anyway. Hope you guys get it back... Gary

Not only does that totally suck, it's pretty brazen and not too bright to steal that car as a getaway car. I'd be cruising the mall and box store parking lots within a 20 mile area looking for it. Chances are that the thief ditched it for something a whole lot less conspicuous in 30 minutes or less.

  11. All Tri-Fives will start without a key unless you turn the key all the way to the left "lock" position before you pull the key out.
    Good luck.

It's gotta be some where.... I'll check some spots around North Minneapolis. Back to the top, for now.

It was stolen out of a locked garage at 2AM on Monday APR 9, I originally said Sun night, but technically it was Monday morning. I don't know if the keys were in it. I am not going to speculate
A neighbor saw the car heading north on county road 68 in Ham Lake, MN
Randy really deserves his car back
    Please keep your eys open
Not sure if this link will work, but here are some build pics of the car as well.

Taken from the owners facebook page..."

Stolen from a garage in Ham Lake last night about 2 am. Someone was running from the cops and crashed a stolen car into a swamp, went through the swamp and broke into the garage and stole it. The suspect got a 6 hour head start before he was noticed it was gone. If you see it, contact the authorities" , or let me know. I can contact the owner. - Thanks

Google says Ham Lake is about 90 miles from St Peter, so that would make sense timewise, if it were stolen early am. I think you have a very good lead there, and a place or direction to start looking.
