Some might say that these are models, not toys... but when I built them I can assure you that they were built as toys, not models. They were built to be driven on the floor of any room in the house or even outside...complete with races and wrecks and yes, even body damage, which might result in a trip to the paint shop. They were not built to be garaged in the bookshelf. The "Outlaw" is the original release, still in the package from 1963, that for whatever reason, I never got around to building it. The older it gets, the harder it gets for me to want to break open the plastic bag and build it.
Here is some in my office Here is the coolest toy It was given to me 5 years ago.. It is German a driving school demonstration model .. pre war era and fully functional
These aren't quite hot rods, but I played with these in the '50's. They were run hard and put away wet.
I really like those Mickey Mouse racers, and looked for a long time to find one I could afford, but they've been very pricey for years. There was a Donald Duck version of that toy, too. Same problem!
here are some updated photos of the Altered with some paint. Parachute will be mounted next week. Enjoy the Holiday, and thanks to all who serve. Tommy
I have a mess of unbuilt models, a lot of hard to find kits... may find a project to trade em all for someday
