I'm out cleaning the garage today, and it kinda looks like it threw up on itself, lol.
Put all the stuff together that I've been saving for my coupe over the last several years.

16x4 and Merc or pick-up 16x5 Early Ford Wheels, Original 50 Pontiac Tail Lights, F-1 Shock Mounts (soon to be Head Light Mounts), My favorite Flathead intake in the whole wide world-Edelbrock Slingshot (and yes it's a re-pop, but financially I just can't affort an original. I'm gonna polish then "distress" it to look a little "older" though) and some 97's.

GasserFreak: What are the dimensions on the chop? Looks like more than 5" in the front.

Trying to decide how much to chop my 34 5w. A 5" chop in the front will make the windshield about 7.5" tall. I was thinking 5" in the front and 4" in the back to give it a moderate raked look.

Not exactly sure on the dimensions. Somewhere around 5" at the very back to maybe 6"ish in the front? Rudy kinda moves them until they look "right".

I should point out that 5W's chop way different than 3W's. On a three window the roof moves alot further, so the windshield gets laid back harder, therefor a "taller" windshield.

Thanks Everyone, Words can't describe how excited I am right now. I just got the car home awhile ago. After I got it into the garage I went out for a cig, and sat in it making vroom-vroom noises until my wife came out and caught me.

    Distraction Alert:
I picked this up from a friend recently for my old daily driver 56' pick-up. Plus me and the wife are trying to buy a house so progress has been slow.

Well, I spent the morning playing with the wiring to get it running again. Hasn't started since the dash was removed. The roofs all welded up now. I'm gonna strip it again and throw on some rustolium just to protect it til I'm ready to do body work. Took it for a blast around the block on a milk crate, and damn it felt good.

Thanks! The tires on it now are just "rollers", It's getting 7.50-16s in the back and 5.50-16s in the front when I get a little closer

I missed this because I haven't been on much in the last year or two but DAMN! SOOOO stoked that you are finally doing this car. A 34 WITH a hood is my favorite all time hot rod

Hey, thanks brother. I've been on hiatus with this car for a little while. Will be back on it soon. I'm trying to have it driving this summer.

Been working out the wrinkles with the hammer and dolly. This car had some pretty wavy stuff going on from the old chop and steel roof insert. Some pick and file, finish the wood, lead, primer, nitrocellulose lacquer, done. Threw on the 35 wires and bias plies. Still needs a bit of an altitude adjustment, but its getting closer. Been working on getting my own shop up and running, and customer stuff, but hammer on it every chance I get.
