Looks very cool, and I tend to hate this sort of thing. Love it.

What you guys probably don't know is that he's built a long line of really cool, well thought out cars with some pretty ingenious features! Keep watching this build and you'll be blown away at what he can do. Trust me, these pictures are a VERY humble beginning for what's he's capable of!

I totally dig your style, and i dont just mean the van's outer look, i mean the whole build philosophy.

What can I say... man crush? In the most heterosexual kind of way, of course!

EDIT: I just remembered we used to call you the Midas Man, because everything you touched turned to gold! LMAO, good times! For the rest of you this was loooong before the term "gold chainers" was adopted, and has nothing to do with that.

You guys give me way too much credit...but thanks!
Ok...finished the framing for the rear cover... In the right side compartment goes the battery, the left side compartment goes the compressors, and in the center goes the fuel cell and air tank. Just have to sheet metal the top and rig up a latch and lift struts.

Lookin great. I can't wait to hear the word on how that front end setup works for you. Seems like a way more affordable route than the swingarms and rack setup.

You have done a killer job so far! Funny thing is The Ol' lady and I go to our regular breakfest joint a couple times a week ....and for the past two months theres been one of these vans thats stock height(looks just like yours paint color and all) parked across the street in a parking lot that hasnt moved, that I been staring at telling her "wonder who's it is"? She calls it the "child molesters van" and said theres no way one could ever look cool...I saw your thread and showed her and she said that yours was bad ass! LOL!

Very nice workmanship! I grew up with the custom van craze of the 70's and will always love them! Vans were the only customs being built then and kept lots of custom builders employed then! I am also glad you referred to it as channeled and not body dropped :D. Looking forward to following your progress.

I grew up in those days as well. My uncle had a '65 a100 that he put a 440 in and i remember cruising in that thing all the time....bed in the back, shag carpet throughout, little bit of rake....those days were cool! I call it channeled to some and body dropped to the younger crowd....its an age thing i think. Most of the younger crowd don't know what your talking about when you say "channeled" but when you say body dropped they understand.

The only thing i'm worried about is bump steer. its gonna have some but if there is too much i will figure something else out. As high as it has to raise to clear the front fenderwells, should be ok and not be too bad.
