Haha man I'd visit the U.S and do this everyday ,it was quick to get this much done but I still have to grind back welds , finish the window stuff , finish the inside bottom of the b pillar then beat it a little, then it's time for my best friend bog, then French 50 tail lights(not the deep tunnel type) just neat subtle frenching

Thanks people sorry 4 door fans if it wasn't for the shape of the rear 1/4 windows (back door window) I wouldn't have done it but I can't stand that shape , I always wanted a two door but they never got bought to Australia new but now I got a right hand drive two door there's not many of them around

Seamless transition, well done. I like the grille surround and floating bar as well, what's that made from? '51 grille centers maybe?

Ok another update I frenched in 50 ford tail lights today .
I like the subtle French and i hate the deep tunnel frenching ( sorry fans of that) .
I started with solid rod that was 8mm thick or around 1/3rd of an inch (i don't do inches) and cold bent it to the shape of the lens and welded the ends together ImageUploadedByTJJ1335698317.531346.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1335698394.805591.jpg

Then I cut the centre out of where the tail light used to sit.
So I could get the lens through from inside ImageUploadedByTJJ1335698667.159969.jpg the hole for final fitting

I cleaned off all the old paint and got reminded of a bog job I did 10 years ago before I could weld patch panels etc.
I then spot welded the frame to the body and cut out the rust spots ImageUploadedByTJJ1335698969.261642.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1335699053.925015.jpg

Then I cut patch pieces and welded them in and then fully welded around the rest , taking my time to keep the heat down ImageUploadedByTJJ1335699197.954718.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1335699268.020876.jpg I then ground back all the welds
