  1. You're really banging out a lot of great work here! Are you gonna use the whole roof for your Chevy and join it where the windshield meet the roof or are you only gonna use the rear window?

  4. So you're gonna use 55 Chevy 210 trim!?! Have you thought about Buick spear! You know the 52-53 ones?

  5. No the 55 chevy 210 trim is for the shoebox, I don't think I'll have any side trim on the chevy.

Kool to have a -53 chevy build at the age of 16, i bought my -51 when i was 17 :D
I could never amagine that the pontiac taillights would fit that good, does they fit really good or do you need to adjust some?

Are you using the back window of the shoebox roof?

  14. Thanks! Yea I'm lucky to have it. No they actually fit perfect as they are right now, but I don't know if I want to french them or not. I might chop it in a couple of years but I just want to get it on the road for now, but I'm making it a 2 door for sure

OK! That sounds like a good plan!

  16. Yeah get it on the road and drive the hell out of it. Then you can work on it come wintertime and then drive it some more when it get warm enough.
That's what I've been doing for the last 17 years with my 1953 Chevy.

  17. And a lot of fun too!

  21. I have been working on the chevy even though I haven't uploaded any pics here for a while. I've been working on the floor braces and body mounts now and it's alot of work and measuring to get it right. And did I mention that I bought 53 caddy headlight bezels and 2 door beltline up trim? Here is some pics from the progress and the stuff I bought

  23. There you go! I thought you forgot about us. Looks nice.
Did you buy the whole 2 door bel air or just the trim?

  24. No I just bought the trim, the entire car would cost too much to bring back to Sweden, I'm looking for 2 door doors right now :)

  25. 2-door doors have a tendency to be expensive and hard to find. Instead you could find 2 front doors from a 4 door and then extend the ones you have. It's cheaper and with your skills no problem to do!

  26. Yea I know, but I found a 2 door in the U.S and I know a guy that can bring it home for a good price, but not sure yet so I might end up extending them. Thanks for the advice!
