Try 49 Ford for the gauge cluster. Speedo with gas and maybe temp on the bottom.

  3. How about the bezel and face off a Nash Uniscope.

...at this point it looks like I won't have to Z the frame at all!

Weld a piece of tubing inside the rear crossmember channel channel and a bolt all the way through. Much stronger. Neat use of a shackle mount!

I got a little done tonight...just boring crap! I ground off what was left of the old frame and fit the sq tube on the existing floor.

    Pics tomorrow.

thats how my 31 was found in ark but mine had a tree growing through it.i made my frame out of 2/3 square stock and formed my own front frame horns .this is my first time on the hamb.i need to get cam and learn how to post pics.

  14. on your upper shock mount, I would flip your leg straight UP and make a gusset down to the framerail. I would be worried you will end up bending it if i'ts intalled as it is. The salt beats the shit out of your car, it is far from smooth. For a shock mount it would be OK, but your mounting the wieght of the entire car like we traditionally mount our shocks.

Got some stuff done on the floor! Like usual...Boring! But needs to be done!

I finally got all the floor cleaned up and ground down. I cut and bent some 1" sq tube to fit the contour of the floor, then tacked in place!

    Happy Easter All!

Got a little done. The body is now sitting on the frame with sq tubing cross braces. I decided that "Ol Henry" knew what he was doing so I bent the wishbones back to the torque tube. I tacked it up cause it is still in mock up stage. I also decided I am not gonna clean the shop till I get a rolling chassis. Gotta have goals! :D

I scored the drivers side header from my Boss. I like these better than the old one that was curved to miss the steering box.

These old drag slicks have been sitting outside at my Dads house for 15 or 20 years, very bad weather checked but will be great for the mock up. I think i'm gonna run 2 sets of tires. 1) Wide Whites 2) Drag slicks. We will see
