Yeah, fast , and probably had the old dual range hydramatic in it, since it was an 88, and not a super88 or 98 with the Jetaway.

 

Mine is an 88 and has the Jetaway in it.
Guess they ran out of Hydramatics.

So which transmission is better?

 

love it...im doing one right now..without being tacky but what did ya pick it up for...im just trying to keep mine within the bounds of realistic money just curious what they are going for in the nice shape yours is in...super cool...i did notice one funny thing though..your grill oldsmobile is on the left side...and all the others ive seen including mine is on the drivers side
