Absolutely perfect! Plenty of guys wish they could do as good...me included.

Gotta disagree with some of what the posters are saying. You are not gonna turn out right...you did turn out right. And you're no "kid"...you're the man.

I hate you...man. Lol. Jeez, ya did great. A big thumbs up to Dad and Grandpa too...for raising such an inspiring, aspiring, perspiring young man.

BTW everybody...In the spirit of this thread, I gotta mention that KustomCars (Jason, post #24) is only 14, and he's another one that's gonna make us all proud, just as blake1932 has here. Hot rodding certainly isn't gonna die anytime soon. Yay.

Most 16 year olds want a rice burner with a fart can exhaust. Good job, kid. Have fun with it.

  9. All you got to do to make it perfect is stop telling people it is a brookville body. ;)

    Nice little ride there

I second that. Don Weber is a modest wealth of knowledge and a super nice guy. He taught me most everything i know. His 34 roadster was the first hot rod i have driven, hooked for life.

I believe i met you at DesMoines last summer. Have fun and keep it up.

Ok guys I have started on a new project... I found an all steel 34 3window old bonnaville car has the wedge chop an everything!! I just built an original style 32 chassis for it has heavy 32 dropped axle unsplit 32 bones original k member and a model a rear xmember. I have a 39 ford rearend under it right now... I'm turning 17 years old next month, had to start a new hot rod!! I will post pics soon. Also I have been driving the 32 roadster all summer it's awsome that flatty is a beast! I'm looking for a v860 for the new 3 window if anybody has one let me know. Thanks alot and hope u guys like the new ride

The spare on the original carrier bar is a great touch. Reality was the tires kids could afford were not the best and a spare was a necessity unless you like sitting on the side of the road for long periods.

  25. Hi Blake,Please re-think that V8-60...you will be so disapointed with its lack of power..I had one in my old A roadster...never again

Glad to see young guns building traditional rods, it will keep the sport alive long after we old wrenchs have been put in the box! Good job and good luck with the model 40 project...Ditto on the advise regarding the V8 60 horse, no power and just as much money to find it out!
