Gettin old---71 today

Don, you are an inspiration to us guys in our 60's and 70's because you are doing what we hope to at 80.

71 aint old, My grandma turned 100 on christmas, an not in a nursing home either..... My grandpa died at 106, walked with a cane, died peacfully in his sleep, no health issues.

You got a whole career ahead of you young man

 

"Old" is a state of mind. I am 69, still working, still rodding and unbelievably still drumming for a rock n roll band! Just lost a friend here at work who just turned 50 a month ago. Dropped in the parking lot from a heart attack. Live your life to the fullest and be thankful for every day you have. Doesnt matter how old you are because you never know when the next drunk driver or lurking medical issue will end it for you. The friend I lost lived his life as if each day might be his last (previous cancer survivor) and I adopted his attitude and do what I can with preventative check ups. But, you gotta look at age as really meaningless. You can go at 20 or 90 and you never know when its time. Live like you are leaving tomorrow!

Happy Birthday, I'm 61 and loving life. But I also married the girl I always wanted to marry, known her since I was 17. Matter of fact, I'm entering the Senior Olympics this year.

Actually for most, " Old is a state of your body". If your body hurts and aches every day and every minute of that day, you are old. Some people genetically are very youthful in body and mind in their 80s. Hell look at Gene Winfield. He's 84 and I do believe he is the hardest working man on the planet!!!! He says he doesn't have any aches or pains. Now that is cool!!! I on the other hand am 50 ( just turned ) but am stiff and sore from a life of heavy construction. 32 years, every day. It has played its toll on me but I still think young and still work my ass off but I pay the price. I wish I felt like Gene!! Thats another 34 years away!! I'm not complaining but sometimes I feel real old moving around.
