Customs My 1965 Cadillac Coupe Deville AKA Bad Penny

Ok So I just picked up this 1965 Cadillac Coupe Deville. I had to drive 7 hours to go pick it up from Springfield, TN (About a hour up from Nashville TN) They was asking 6k I gave him 3k. I'm very happy with the car so far. I plan or lowering it and or bagging it fixing up the insides and shaving the side trim fixing the rust and repainting the car. Heres some pics!
Car was 2 feet longer than the burban. lol
Off the trailer and home safe and sound
New Tires! I use the word "new" lightly since these are old stock from Sears!
Thats all for now! Oh I need a drivers side mirror if anyone has one!

looks like a very straight car for 3k...did you haggle that price over the phone or prior to goin, good deal none the less

 

Now that's a LOT of car. Have you thought about a color yet? You'll need to see if the color you decide on comes in a 55 gallon drum.

I would lose the wide whites...They make it look to "pimpish" in my opinion. Nice car otherwise.

I kinda like the pimpish look. lol I mean it is a Cadillac? And I just dont like the side trim it breaks up the clean lines on the side of the car. As for the color I'm thinking a copper color a lil less pink and more orange copper. Hey flatheadpete hows your car lowered? Did you cut the springs? If so How many coils did you take off?

 

Look at how clean one with out side trim is!!!!

 

BAD PENNY !!!! I like the copper color. Maybe in a candy job.

 

I replaced the transmission modulator value, buffed out the hood and bumpers, had the exhaust fixed, and removed that horrible window tint. I have all new rubber on the way, some fishtail exhaust tips, carpet, and 62 caddy hubcaps. I installed a CD player in the glove box. I hope to get it lowered this week also.

I fixed both rust holes made panels, covered them, and then installed some matching carpet. First time ever doing any of that. I'm really happy with the way it came out.

I drove by a blue one of these that was for sale everyday when I was going to college. I wanted it. Awesome design.

No but it's started! It will be by this weekend!

 

I cut 2 coils off the front and 1.5 coils off the back.


I like it. I think it sits good and is still drive able. And still rides like a Cadillac!

I was gunna say 2 coils front and back. Thats how mine is and it sits level. I think I took the pinion snubber off to give it a little suspension travel. sometimes impractical but it looks right. Best thing about these is they still ride amazingly well with almost zero suspension travel.

And yeah they are wicked fun to fill with people and cruise...

 

And get even lower with the added weight!
