Been watching this one come together. Very sharp hot rod, love the color combination.

  15. Man, this is so not what I thought this thread was going to be about! All I could read of the thread title was "Rolled my roadster pickup..."

Slap a seat in and away you go! It's looking really good. I like the red engine contrasting the blue paint.

gotta finish a little wiring yet and bleed the brakes along with some other things , it will be running soon enough ! with age i have learned patience , i finish everything before its driving or i don't seem to ever go back and finish them

  18. Gotta be one hell of a shop if you need a Genie Lift in it. :D

Great hot rod too by the way!

Man that's sweet, I think you nailed it! I like the vintage look and how you upgraded thinngs to make a great driver(radials, four link) While this may not impress the hard core vintage rodders passing them doing 85 with one hand on the wheel will be great! Nice job!

yes unfortunately i bought the truck years ago as a running driving vehicle , the chassis was already four link and had the radials , i really hate the look of the four link and now wish i would have cut them off and went wishbones up front and ladder bars out back but it didn't make sense at the time to undo what had been done , oh well you live and you learn , i may chrome the four bars and see if it looks better !

and indeed that was the idea when i started this build , a nice running driving vehicle i could hop in and drive anywhere ! there are lots of aspects of it that are not 100 percent traditional i'm not trying to hide that , i created something that suited my needs for the driving conditions around here and that i can take to the strip if i choose so and beet the shit out of clean it up and roll to an out of state show the next weekend ! it is my daily driver in the summer !
