I attended and entered this show for the first time this past weekend. With the exception of mine and a friends car, everything there was new to me.There was a Great selection of all kinds of styles etc.I was parked with a bunch of local guys that made me a weekend member of thier group(Sewer Rats).Made me feel very welcomed to say the least, very friendly.THANKS. Hats off to all that worked to put this event on!!!! Heres a few pictures of some of my favorites.
A couple more. One of the coolest parts was move in and exit time.I loved hearing the gassers and other drag cars start up and slowly roll to the trailers etc. The Parade of Progress GM "Van" was on display too.If you ever get a chance to see it and sit in the drivers seat do it.Very dedicated crew of men and women tend to this piece of history and deserve alot of credit.
I grew up going there every year, miss it dearly. Satx has nothing to the level of cars you see there. Miss Goodguys and all the area drive in swap meets too;-(!
Do you have a photo of a rust or copper colored 60's Impala with Billet Specialties wheels? Owned by my good friend and painter, Dave. He took an Outstanding for his car.
The Interior of the Red Willys was done by John Miller out of New London, Ohio. He does excellent work, fast and reasonably priced. He did my '30 Model A, complete with dash and rumble seat out of black leather. Beautiful work. He also did the trunk and headliner in my 1960 Corvette.
