So here is the background i with the help of friends built this truck years ago in 2003-2004. I sold it to pay for my college loans. It went to Ohio and lived for 3-4 years and then got sold again. To my knowledge it only went to 1 show which was columbus goodguys 2008 and it was covered in the rod and customs coverage thatt year i believe the december issue of 2008. It sold shortly there after and i lost track of it. It was on the cover of roll and pleats in issue 20 jan-feb-mar 2006.

I would like to talk to the owner and know where it went, below are some pictures.

thanks in advance for the help

It did well but those rear tires were 35" tall and it had a 5.13 (if my memory serves me) gear and the motor was Heavily worked over

mikuni's are great as long as you are a good tuner or you live in a climate that never changes.

cookiemonster131 i just built a 59 renault dauphine for the guy in columbus ohio that bought your truck off of you. i can ask him if he has any info on the next owner. hje was telling me all about that bantam truck. how you had to get in it through the roof and something about the schwinn bike seat. i have to tell you that i saw your truck in rolls and pleats and it inspired me to use tractor tires on this hot rod v w i called the kdf mangler.[IMG] here is a pic of the renault i built to a roller for the guy in columbus .[IMG]

    Renault looks really cool.

i asked him about it once he sold the truck. He said he never got the guys name just his money. We had a bit of a falling out when he offered to sell me back the truck but doubled the price in the process. :-/

    still looking for the truck.

Mr. Gasser yes those are ford tractor hubs and no front brakes. The hubs were highly modified and cut up and tig welded back together. it took ALOT to get those hubs to work on the spindles.

that little truck has always been on my mind since i saw it in rolls and pleats. i was new to hot rodding and thought it was a amazing idea to run the 4 cyl. which inspired a couple projects i have built. id love to see pics of that truck inside and out.
