I'm trying to get bearings Timken (or similar) QBR 23549 loose needle rollers (15 of) sent over here to me in Australia for my T5 5 speed transmission. I dropped the rollers a year ago & thought I'd found them all but I'm a few short. Everyone here that I've spoke to in Australia wants to sell me a rebuild kit $$$ - which I don't really need. I can't find any bearing companies who'll ship to me over here - can anyone help me out please. There'll be a few drinks in it for you cheers Bob
I just did a Yahoo search on it and there must be at least 200 applications for that particular bearing number. All the major car makers in the USA use it.Try looking up the number on Advance Auto Parts website and you'll see, Should be able to cross it with something down there.
Try this, has worked for me in the past to cross reference bearings, http://www.locateballbearings.com/?gclid=CKGZkrSz664CFQdoKgodog61Iw
Autozone has them. Shipping may be an issue for you. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/pa...E7D0BA4E4.diyprod2-b2c4?itemIdentifier=282022
I looked them up and Timken doesn't list them. Autozone's website says they have them in Timken but they are prob another maufacuters bearing in a Timken box. SKF listed them but has no stock, and FAG doesn't list them. Looks like federal mogul is going to be your best bet for these. Alot of times a bearing company will make a bearing for an OEM or another company with an agreement to only supply them with it. In other words, you can't get it straight from the bearing company. Oh by the way, I am a distributor for just about every bearing company out there and even I would have to go through the OEM to get them. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
I use these guys. They know what they are doing and will drop ship to you. Rick Reali www.Applied.com Applied Industrial Technologies Phone 303-776-3641 Fax 303-678-5873
Are there no industrial bearing shops in Australia? There are 2 in a town of 80,000 near here, where I shop. They stock all kinds of bearings and have pails of loose balls and rollers, very cheap. I find if you bring them the bearing, or the number off your old bearing they can get any kind of bearing grease seal constant velocity joint among other things. No use giving them model make or year of vehicle you must have the bearing number or measurements. There must be one near you. At least, nearer than the US.
Try 'CBC bearings' Bob, they always have what I want and go out of there way to help. They are all over Australia.
