Was thinking about starting a "Vanity Plate" thread, but then checked the search forum, glad I did ... already been done.

In keeping with the "BAD" theme, here's mine.......

We got a '32 Ford Roadster in July. Cool plates for a '32 Ford have pretty much been picked through over the years. Luckily, we found this in the Environmental series. Environmental plates cost a little more but the extra money goes towards Conservation in Illinois (anyway that's what they tell us).

The plate on my 1949 chevy pick up is "NVRDONE" since I've been building it since 1973.

For those who don't know JPBANJO aka Joel Burkhart has gone to the big rod run in the sky. Joel passed away a couple weeks ago. The deuce roadster will be passed down to his son who lives in Austin. The deuce is frozen in time. Joel built it in 1956 and nothing was ever changed. Buick nailhead, still running a qiuck change. You guys in Austin may be lucky to see this iconic rod someday. Joel R.I.P.

Hear, hear. You guys put it on the line. We used to have guys who gave it all, now we have kids who want it all. Go figure.

Used to have this old guy pull up to the donut shop every morning with this plate AMWTISF. We all looked at it for a couple weeks and finally ask him what AMWTISF was, meant or just give us a hint. He replyed,
    A ask
    M me
    W what
    T these
    I initals
    S stand
    F for.
Pretty clever for an 80 year old guy.

Nostalgia, pretty obvious though, have had people ask me what it says, and what it means, I just shake my head.

I just sold this one...they were used in dealerships back in 50s -60s here in New Zealand on new cars.

My wife and her late husband had a 58 Chev with plate 1MADV8 on it...which could be read 2 ways...:D;)

  19. At least we got hate , a true emotion. The Korea vets just got ignored and their service called a police action. I take the hate with pride.

  23. I used to hang out with a bunch of "Professionals" You know, guys whose business cards had their name and then MD, PHD, DDS, ESQ etc. So I made some cards of my own that had my name then D.M.N.

When asked I told them it stood for Don't Mean Nuthin
