I am building a 53 Chevy pickup. Is it best to do a frame swap or a subframe? I would appreciate some ideas or pictures for help. Thanks.
like they always say. " there's nothing better than what they were born with ". Keep the original frame and work with it. You'll be happy you did.
Welcome from Kansas. I'm going to have to do a frame-off, but plan to keep the original unless its tweaked.
well I know what you are talking about I just got a hold of an 1985 el camino that has a bad ass engine and i mean bad ass. well now I was wondering if I could raplace the frame of my 1952 chevy truck with the one from the el camino does n-e one know if this is possible...
Welcome from Texas! I did an S10 frame, and I regret it, plus they really don't sit well with the HAMB. If you're just looking for IFS, go MII.
I have a buddy that has a 48 with an olds g-body frame under it. Its been shortened, narrowed, and it was a bitch to mount the running boards. Stay with the original frame and go with an MII. Or go with a drop axel... motor swaps are easily than frame swaps...
How about posting a proper introduction per the rules. Then you will have better luck after posting in the general forum area.
