Sounds like the car grew up in New Jersey. Lots of salt on the roads here. Or was it acid dipped when it was new? Anyway, build your dream/concept car and have fun with it!

You could donate it to a racing museum or something if you just dont want it. Not really sure if thats cool with you, but maybe they could set up some kind of seen with it?

As soon as I can, I'm going to do a nice, tight rendering with all new INDUCTION! I get into all the cars I do, but a few really, REALLY get me going...this is one of 'em.

Back in the 70s my cousin and I cut up the rusty carcus of an MG-B with a sawzall, and over a period of a couple weeks snuck the pieces into a business dumpster up the street.

Couple of neighbors had old '80s cars they gave me in 2010. I got $300 a ton, just made some basic cuts...my 7.5" Skilsaw with a Masonry blade made quick work of the massive sheets of metal. $$$$$

  13. That rendering is badass. I really love the old funnycars with the roofs removed. To me, the Beach City Chevrolet Corvette that Pat Foster drove is one of the coolest funnycars ever. I'm just wondering if the theme would work in a two-seater version for the street?

The Flying Dutchman car and anything from Mike Sullivan rocked, too.

  18. Just post a thread " nobody wanted it, so it went to the scrapper" with plenty of pics. There will be no less than 100 posts of "I WISH I'D HAVE KNOWN, I WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT" & most likely with offers of what they would have paid. Then you can inform them of how you can make their wishes come true. There is a good chance one of those 100 is sincere.
