Mine on my 35 IHC. They are 62 impala lenses frenched an inch and a half, finished off with a custom bullet of a fleetside pickup.

 

Frenched 1939 plymouth taillights in my 40 plymouth with a 46 plymouth third brake light.

 

If you are inquiring about the maroon custom I posted, don't feel alone, the first time i saw this car prior to paint, i had no idea what it was either. it started out as a 1949 Mercury convertible, that is why it has the hard top style side glass. It has been sectioned approximately 5.5" with a 1952 Riviera hardtop grafted on. I have build photos of this car from the Bay Area from 1952. I recently relocated to Chicagoland, but have only had it out once since I moved here.

On my 36 GMC tow truck I used vintage Guide clear glass utility lights, gutted them and modified LED boat trailer lights inside of the housings, so unlit they are clear, but lit they are extremely bright LED's and are impossible not to see even in the brightest sunlight! (and they look good)

I also put LED conversions in some 40 Chev park lights and mounted them on the rear for added safety, they all have brake, tail and turn.





















I also run these side markers, I have no idea what their original application was, I have red, amber and clear lenses for them. (manufacturers names are Norjay and Electroline with no difference between the brands)



I run very small bulbs in them, but they are blood red and very nice when lit.

cool lights,i know L.E.Ds are not liked here so i never posted any of mine,i get recalls from work all the time pretty much the same as yours,i've making lights for our choppers for years.everybody puts the smallest lights they can find,sh*t they can be barely be seen at night-to hell with that i wanna be seen,here's a couple that i made..
i love the beehive look when they're lite up,ALL were made with junk i had laying around.

I've seen the hatred for LEDs too, but most of it seems to stem from low quality and wrong application, some trial and error can make them look amazing and perform above and beyond anything even twice the size. Mine had the no warm-up no cool down instant on and then off look of LED's without being a bowl of cherries which can look out of place on older cars, if they had looked like trailer lights when lit I would have gone on to plan B.

I will never understand the people who put a lot of effort into a car only to have crappy lights nobody can see... with simple mods I have made even tiny lens lights very visible.
The same goes with head lights, I saw a photo of a green Willys 77 with modern sealed beam lights in the fenders... pointing 35 degrees up... that car is unsafe and useless in the dark.

 

Old time favorite, 50 Chevy built by Dave Stucky, Wichita, KS in 1963, asymetrical 4 hand formed tail lights. Car sold to some lucky person in Texas 1965. Anyone know if this car still exists?

On my '57 Chevy truck I frenched '70 Camaro taillights into a rollpan.

 

Electroline N5's for taillights and Pathfinder Deluxe Center Light:

I don't have any good pix, ...but have asked my nephew to take some of his 1928 Model A if anyone wants to see them.

The tail-lights from a 1941 Dodge car fit just about perfectly on the fenders of a Model A. Not overstated, look like they were born there.

Good means to get run, brake & turn signals on the old Fords.
