    Hey fellas.....
    Anyone heard of these?
Finned aluminum backing plates by Hollywood? They have 45 fins....
If anyone's heard or got some.....I'd appreciate any additional info on 'em....like @ year they were available...etc...

    Thanks!!

I picked up a pair 10 or 12 years ago and had them polished. Designed to match Buick drums. Will post some photos tomorrow.

My buddy has a pair. Only set I've ever seen in person, pretty cool.

  4. Any pictures? Bob Wilson offers a 45 fin cast aluminum backing plate. How do these differ?

I had a pair around 1998/9. They are covers that mount to the backing plates - but they are not actual backing plates. I also had a set of Bob Wilson's finned backing plates....

Here's a couple of photos. I was going to use Buick drums, but I thought they were going to look bulky.

Mine are cheaper and can be found down the street at your local WalMart.

  13. That's one of the Wilson Welding finned backing plates, not the Hollywood Coverups.

Sure would be interesting to find a set of the Hollywoods!

Yes, but they also look like someone stuck a frying pan over their brakes.
