Someone I am sure has asked the question...What kinda of ideas do you have for a custom grill? I want to build a custom grill for my 1953 customline ford. Trying to figure out if I should go with stainless or billet...Or even steel and paint it black...Any Ideas would be of help...Thanks, Scot

Possibilities are limitless. I built this grill from salvage yard scrap. It is about 1/2" SS mesh. Used to be some kind of industrial screen, filty and full of crap. Quite a bit of work getting it poshed out. Might have even had tar on it. Another idea is do what Roger Jetter did with his Caddilac. He had 1/8" aluminum sheet cut to match front contour of car. Then he gapped it 1/8" between each section. The most beautiful Caddy grill I have seen. His car is featured in the last issue of Rod & Custom, take a look. Go to the biggest scrap yard you can find and let your mind run wild.

The '55 Plymouth grille is almost a bolt in for 1952-54 Fords and fits the contours about dead on.
