How far roughly,time and miles,is it to "The Strip"hotels;from the Old Orleans vlv and are they easy to find?

 

Just 2 or three blocks.

 

The countdown begins......Have been to them all but the first, always a great time !

The Lonely Knights will there in force, will be helping work the gate, so BE NICE, we are volunteers.......... Here's a few Lonely Knight cars that have been to Viva..

Can't wait to see the Memory Lane guys, I know Harry Truitt wants to see Detective Juarez for sure !

Rumour has it the Go Getters might be performing. Wow that would be too much.

 

It depends which hotel, but some are not too far away. You will be looking at about $10 - $15 in a cab. Downtown Vegas could be more.

The Orleans has a free shuttle that runs from Bills Gambling Hall at Las Vegas Blvd/Flamingo. It does not run all night though.

 

Which hotel are you staying in?

 

Anything going on Tuesday night / Wednesday night before the event starts (like bands or open houses)? Not too interested in the strip or the Vegas touristy stuff. Thanks.

We stay for 7 Days., so i want to search for Hot Rod or Custom Shops in the
LV Area. Do you know a few?
I know SOCAL and Rusty Nuts.
We hope we had a good time with you.
A 11500 mls Trip for nothing wouldn’t so good. 

Heading out from east Tennessee on the 31st.

 

Thames, Bellagio is about 3 miles away.

 

Lil Pete, Counts Kustoms is a cool shop, Danny the owner has about any kind of car you can think of and some kick ass bikes. The car collection at he Imperial Palace is cool, alwasy has a few different things because of owner consignment. Hot Ros City has some cool stuff, http://www.hotrodcitylasvegas.com/.

 

11500 mls has to be a return mileage.
We are in New Zealand and we are only 6500 away if you discount the drive from SF airport.

 

My wife and I are starting to get excited about Viva.This will be our first time.Can't wait!

Ha Ha,I could walk it!I see Socal is mentioned as being near,I've got to get some bits;its the law.Maybe a shifter,some headers,and some Porter mufflers,anywhere near by sell that sort of stuff?Slightly jealous of the guys doing the big drives in;maybe when the old tub is finished

 

Update:

Hustlers Drag Team is bringing out their Front Hemi engined Dragster . Will be starting it up periodically . Car runs on Nitro Methane .

The Gasser display is booked with great cars.

The special Hot Rod Corral is also booked and will be filled with authentic cars.

 

This event will be on Wednesday night, April 4th, in Vegas. If I make it on time, we'll be there. Driving almost 3000 miles to VLV.

 

We fly in Wednesday . Counting the days.

 

Can't hardly wait!!!!!

 

Add one more Viva Virgin to the list! I will be arriving on Wednesday. Hopefully it won't hurt too much and leave a stain....

Those of you who are going are so lucky, I'd love to see The Ventures as I am a big fan of surf instrumental music, ie Dick Dale and Los Straightjackets.
