my 65 fairlane a/fx straight axle build

Here is my rusty housing with the crites thunderbolt traction arms welded on ready to be sand blasted and powder coated ..I spoke with Mr crites he said to put the pinion at 0 degrees

 

I really like the bars, can you put up a side view of them?

Finally got my axle under it

 

Looking good. Do you have any idea what those slots on the core support were/are for? My Comet also has them and I've never been able to figure out why.

They always seem to be by the battery. Maybe to vent battery fumes?

 

Thats as good a reason as any I can think of...............in that case I guess I'll have to add a couple to my trunk.

 

Your prob rite gotta be for the battery

 

They are for cooling the battery. Roy.

 

I figure the front will be about a inch and a half maby two inches lower with motor and trans and the rear should be 4 or 5 lower
