Wanted to say hello. I have been checking the forum out off and on for years but never really posted before. I built Bobbers and Choppers for years living back in albuquerque and recently picked up my 49 Hudson. Found some great info on chopping it here! Planning on turning it into a two door and chopping the top at some point.
Thanks! The thread from Hudsoncustom on his chop was the deciding factor on which way to go with the chop. I always felt like the ass end of the car looks out of proportion to the front and his chop sets the roof four inches forward and balances the car out. Found another one on here where a guy stretched his doors using the back doors and I might go that way also if I can't find doors off of a two door. I want to keep the back wing windows since they swing open so relocating like the Hudsoncustom chop shows how to do it. Will be awile before I tackle that since this will be my daily driver soon but I will post for sure. Need to get picks of my old 62 triumph bobber scanned and on here at some point.
