So, I finished welding up my exhaust a couple weeks ago, and yesterday grew a wild hair to start my motor up again only this time linked to the exhaust. I welded in a set of Porter Mufflers and I'm in love. Here are the two videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMzx9M08hec And here's a video of me revving her up a little: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0kxSJ1uaLQ As far as I'm concerned nothing has sounded better in my whole life.
Sounds great, hope you have coolent in there though, be a shame to hurt such a sweeet engine. Regards, Tom.
What size is the Y Block ? Also wondering what size exhaust tubing you went with ? Sounds nice. What's the chassis for ?
sure does sound good!!!!! I have smittys on my 56 t bird motor in my 1954 merc, have a great day Stan
If you were to look at his statistics the last time he was logged in was before you originaly asked your question.
Grovedawg is a buddy of mine. It is a 333 CID Y Block if I remember correctly, and the chassis is a 1955 Ford pickup.
Sorry I've been busy at work. Which is a nice change! It is a 333 on a heavily modified F350 Chasis. If you want engine details you can go look at my build thread. It's been a fun ride for sure! I just can't wait to get everything done!
Not much. Finally got my Y-Block "finished". Its a 313 CID, ECZ-G heads with mild port/polish,high ratio rockers, flat top pistons,ECZ crank,Edelbrock 573 intake,Edelbrock valve covers, cast iron rams horn manifolds and is 9.2:1 Now I just need something to put it in since I sold my truck.
Hey, all is good, nice to be busy, thanks for the message I'll have to have a look at your build thread. Love the Y blocks, will be happy when I can have my 312 built.
