What? We have to finish these things?

    Doc.

  2. I never finish 'em ... Thanks for the comment Doc. Sarcasm fits you mate.

This thing could still go topless and wear a tiki flare, what do you all think???
I du'know ... I really like the proportions of this thing. It has the sinister, ruddy look I was after but, man, I'm looking at a lot of filling and filing. Being a perfectionist, if those closed in panels don't come out right I'll be pissed. I have precious little time to put it into this to have it come out like crap.

The theme for the panel is based on the Brian Setzer song, "Switchblade" and needs to have serious attitude, that conveys the song. like this image (but not so "rat rod'-like):

If I go topless and Tiki, it will look like this (sans the girl, maybe... again, it's about time.):

There, I've shown my hand ...

Bro' that sedan delivery is just superb, PLEASE do not cut it's head off:eek:!! Like you say the proportions are just right. To be fair to that build how about doing something else so you can take the time a build like that needs and not rush it for something like this.
Tell me you are going to get resin copys cast of it!! I put in my formal order for one now..............;)

Now I need to ask for some help!! I need a complete ARDUN Flathead motor, I thought I had one but it seems it went with my collection:(
Swap or sell, try me I may have something you need?
    Thanks guy's.

    Doc.
(Sarcasm? I think it's a result of my service, you get good at it when it is the primary language used!!:p)

  4. Thanks Doc, you may have lit the fire I needed to push myself forward on the sedan. If it turns out, I'll contact somebody to see who could make resin copies...

    Hum...decisions, decisions! :D

I think I'm running with the 5 on 5's with no hubcaps

  13. Looks like the kit you got is molded in a color close to the one I used for the scallops on my big Deuce. Go nut's Neal...

Bumo for another mock up. I'm thinking of something like Ted Wingate's black roadster from Hot Rod, August '64 (cover car in July). Might use a Pontiac or Olds instead of the Buick.

Check the interior on that one. There were a bunch of those produced with Vicky interiors instead of the correct one. When Ertl was still in charge of AMT, they were replacing the interiors on request, but they no longer even own the molds to AMT (or MPC or Polar Lights) kits.

How about a kit bash of the two and use the touring tub and the top from the pickup to make a phantom version of an Aussy Coupe Ute?

Finally picked up a Revell 5 window kit the other day. This is the basic direction I plan on heading...
