I'll be there, but I was sad to find out from the organizers that we will have to park our hot rods out in the spectator lot. Pits will be for competitors only due to limited space. The ECTA does not have use of the whole facility, just one runway.

There is a cruise-in in downtown Wilmington on the 28th from 6pm-9pm.

    Can't wait !

Were heading to Ohio in April to run our flathead Ford powered lakester also coming along will by the teams 200-MPH blown Street Roadster. We are not sure how much pit space we will have but its possible we could hold the greet and meet in the pits on Saturday if all is going well with the race cars. Heres a video of the lakester leaving the line one last time at Maxton so far shes run 162.595 MPH in the standing mile not bad for a 1950 motor.
Pre registration max of 175 vehicles for the April has been reached its going to be a great event.

  9. Lots of places in the area to stay. Wilmington is about 40 min outside Cincinnati.

175 spots is the cap, with a waiting list. We'll be there, running the Geezer ExpressII in the Hot Rod Top Speed Challenge. Please take a minute and stop by. Great bunch of people show up running some really interesting "junk". Don't miss it!!

I've always wanted to go, but hated to make the 9 hour trip.

Now that it's just 4 hours away, I guess that i have no excuse :)

Putting the motor and transmission back in the lakester this weekend. Bringing the car to the Frank Marata Auto Show in Hartford next week. Looks like we will actually be ahead of schedule for a change for the April event.
