    Performance wise i'd say if you have an extra $20k lying around then Ardun...

    no such thing as best, depends what lift cam u run,what compression u want and what suits the style of what your trying to do, will it be blown????, naturally aspirated???, they do that many new delivered to your door now it makes it easy to get newies, if you are die hard and want the real deal originals then start hunting, make sure theres no cracks/fractures or corrosion and should be ok, do your research, do u wanna get same brand manifold as heads?? basically get what makes u happy, who gives a shit what others think, its your engine , so make it into what u want it to be

    There is a nice set of original champions on eBay . Which look killer but like everything in this hobby it's gonna cost you

    Just for the heck of it go to the Shadow Rods website and click on Motor City Flathead.
    Mark Kirby is developing a new flathead block (several years in the making). Contact his "people" to get their views on recommendation for heads. I am pretty sure he is developing new heads also.
