54 Chevy idler and 3rd arm question

    Hey, I'm putting the original idler and 3rd arm assembly back together. I'm trying to decipher the drawing in the manual and I'm unsure about "seal retainer." My kit has the two rubber seals which fit on the lip of each end of the bracket. What the heck is the seal retainer?? I ended up installing the seals on either end..which fit snug and didn't need a shim. Anybody have any experience they'd like to share? I think it's good, bit I tend to second guess myself. Pics coming soon.

    those are the dust caps that grease fittings attach to

    Those are the two caps..one on each end of the shaft? Crap...the arrows in my book are disappearing!! It looked like it was pointing under the rubber seals. Thanks...I guess this was a dumb question!!
