Hey from Canada Re: picture #31514.......This car was actually out of Calgary Alberta, built and campaigned by Ted Dawson & Brian Doan D&D Racing till 1965 when they built their first dragster.....that's another story!

I NEVER GET SICK OF LOOKING AT THIS CAR

 

For those of you who are interested in this car, and the reason I have registered. This car was from Calgary Alberta, built and run by Ted Dawson and partner Jim Doan. They ran it on nitro and were one of the Alberta nitro pioneers in the early to late sixties up here. I'm referring to the B/C with the Emil's Shell truck in the back ground

Dininno's Fever was a NASCAR/AHRA Ultra Stocker: Note halibrands and straight tube axlel!

 

A fellow resident from a few blocks over owns and/or owned this car as of about a year ago. Restored back to original condition. I saw it once at Irwindale in 1970 on nitro comepting in an 8 car injected altered show.

 

There has been a development deal in the works for some years and the buyers were apparently waiting for the economy to recover somewhat. I was told that the building permits have now been applied for, so it will be curtains for another racing venue!!! We are planning on going for the next couple of events, including the Cars and Stars mentioned earlier!!!
