A few requested some pics of my latest cruiser.....for Tuck because he has good taste in Sleds and LownSlow....sorry man but a got a little sidetracked ...the T-bird is on hold once again.....

1964 Mercury Marauder Park Lane Fastback....I know, long title. Hell, I thought all 64 Mercs were those Breezway models with the roll down back window......Had I know they had those sexy Galaxie XL roofs.....shit...I would of wanted one a long time ago...

It already had the paint job when I got it....all I have done so far is add Supremes and mufflers......but plans call for new paint...if I keep it.

I thought most cars by '64 were finless......they had to sneak in fins one more year I guess.......

No way! That paint job is fantastic. Unless you can find a way to take that paint off and put it on one of my cars, I say leave it just like that. Looks too cool. That's the only fastback '64 Merc I've ever seen, and I love it.

I had a 4 door 63 Galaxie that had a beefy hitch on it...I vaguely remember how it was mounted...maybe I'll try to reconstruct it on the Merc, and tow the HAG to the HAMB drags with it.......should be no sweat, with the way these 60's Ford/Mercurys are built.....

    That's a great Mercury!!!
    Even like the paint.
And yes, that's the top to have on a mid 60's Ford or Mercury.

    How wide is that grill?
Or how wide is the opening it needs across the headlights to fit the whole thing... Do yo think it'd fit a 60 Elky?
I'm contemplating several to put in my 60 Chevy and one like that is way up o the list!

  19. Thats a badass car youve got there man, looks sweet as hell.

    Hell yeah that is cool!

I guarante you wont pull up next to another one.

On a tangent. As soon as I got my rivi (not comparing rareness to yours) I think the whole neighborhood got one there is now 4 or 5. When I got it I hadnt seen one since my buddys took a beating. Mine will be the only custom though.

That one sure looks cool! A little "Jade Idol" feel over the paintjob there... I do however understand if you've want change it even though it looks good, such a personally painted car will always feel like someone "elses"...

Looks sweet. The paint seems to suit the lines. 1 of 2721 according to the production numbers on the net.

Of course, I could be biased as I've got a '64 Monterey 'vert to cruise in.

    Cheers!

Different ! I like it. The roofline and fins kind of remind me of the 66 to 68 Chrysler.

The car looks awsome! I would leave the paint as it is if it were mine.
