Event Coverage My trip to San Fransisco/Sacramento and Autorama 2012.

Being from Pennsyltucky and all, this was the best car show I've ever been to in my life. And that's an understatement. My girl and I had the time of our lives. Neither of us can wait to move out West this fall. It's unreal how much more friendly people out there are, guys would move out of the way if they saw me taking a picture, everyone saying hello, etc... Just a lot of great people, great weather, and great cars.

A lot of photos I couldn't get to come out right, I kept having to change settings for light changes from building to building. I saw a guy complain in the Suede Palace thread about the lighting which I disagree with. The lighting was fine, just screwy when taking pictures in a few buildings.

The Suede Palace blew my mind as a backwoods Pennsylvania native, was so awesome. Great music, people, and cars.

Speaking as an elder who has lived during the original incarnation of each of the automotive genres pictured, I still groan over scallops and lace paint jobs. The '70's brought us Watergate, disco, Evel Knievel jumping the Snake River Canyon, and lots of similarly regrettable automotive fashions, ie muscle cars, long shackles, and tires protruding past the fenders.
