That's pretty much why it's been sitting for the last 6 years!

 

Here's my Ranchero, I drive it pretty much every day. Just got fresh paint on it, going to be making some custom tail lights and a clear/flake steering wheel for it this summer. Drive, break, fix, upgrade.

 

was that a flower car or your creation?

 

There a Caddymino in my neighborhood, it was factory built by a conversion company whose name I can't remember, it used a late model El Camino back window and cab steel.

Parked 1969. Rescued 2012.

 

My 3rd car (second was only around for 6 months before it was totalled and it was a '60 elco also) and daily for about 9 years had it since the early 90's............in the same shape waiting it's turn.

More info? I bought it from the son of the original owner who parked it in 1969 with 94,000 miles on it. Its a factory 283 4 bbl powerglide car. It willingly started right up with a battery, quick points file and fuel. Welding in floorpans - again today .

Looks to be the factory paint or whats left after 40+ years of baking in the California sun.
