  6. Change yer underwear...............find a differnt girlfriend.

  7. Shampoo the interior top to bottom then stick an ozone machine in it for about 12 hours.

  8. You have to stop giving rides to esteemed HAMB member, Stinky the Austin Bum....or try to find an ozonator to rent.

  9. Jerry Seinfeld had a problem like this. He ended up giving the car away.

Check out Ozium. That shit takes care of the worst odors in cars.

  12. Find the source of stink and get it out of the car.
Anything else is like perfume on a pig.
An ozone generation may help for a little while but it will come back.
Musty is most likely actually moldy and not going to just go away.
Washing everything is going to help find the source.

  13. i bought a little plastic tub of "odor eater" at the ag store it worked!

Before I started on my old car an animal made the inside of the car his bathroom (no interior) I cleaned it all out & scrubbed it but every time I turned the heat on in the garage it was as if he came back. Bought 2 boxes of dryer sheets (fabric softener)spread them around shut the doors for a week & never smelled it again. Hope that helps. Also when storing a car if you put a bar of Irish Spring soap inside it keeps the mice away. Works in Ohio.

  18. All of those options are only a quick-fix band-aid that will have to be repeated again and again. The only way to really get that out is to remove all of the old interior fabric - ALL of it - and clean it thoroughly outside of the car. Replace the headliner and any padding that is in the car. Spread coffee grounds around inside the interior shell and let sit for several days. Include the inside of the doors and any other cavities you find. Vacuum thoroughly. Reinstall the interior. Once done, leave a box of baking soda under a seat. I did this several years ago to a '66 Mustang and it did wonders.

I've heard that coffee grounds can eliminate orders but I've never used it.

the musty smell of an old car is quite unique. I always kind of liked it in small doses.

Anosmia (pronounced /ænˈɒzmiə/) is a lack of functioning olfaction, or in other words, an inability to perceive odors. Anosmia may be either temporary or permanent.
    Causes:
A temporary loss of smell can be caused by a blocked nose or infection. In contrast, a permanent loss of smell may be caused by death of olfactory receptor neurons in the nose or by brain injury in which there is damage to the olfactory nerve or damage to brain areas that process smell (see olfactory system).

    It worked for me?

Apple peelings or coffee grounds in a sealed car will absorb a lot of bad smells> usually 2 days will take care of all but the worst.

I am such a proponent of coffee....I keep a small tupperware of new coffee in all my daily drivers. As long as you don't mind the smell of coffee, I assure you the other odors will not be noticed.
    Cheap and 100% effective
