Your story fits so many of us...several years ago I took the wife to a large car event and she noticed that there was a lot people with gray hair driving these nice rides and she made the comment that everyone was old that she saw...I just laughed and said "Heck that's us"...

Great intro indeed, sometimes it's amazing how long it takes to get back where we started. Welcome from So.ILL.

I've often wondered which of these plaques was made first. Perhaps you'll be the one to let us know if you drew one of these .....

I knew you could do it Ron. The first time you walked in my shop and asked if you could walk around and look at things I was busy working on something. The guy's noticed you had more than a casual interest in the hotrods. Glad I stopped working on my project and we talked, and talked, and talked. When you mentioned Headhunters and George I was caught off guard. You brought back memorys from when I was a teenager dropping of parts for my dad at Foxworthys or S&S Automotive. Glad you again have a hotrod and got to reunite with your old friends.

  16. Yeah, the two "primitive" ones are the early versions. ( 1950-1953 ) The club was finally able to get a professional pattern maker using my drawing to create the finned and last model. I always cherished it, and now after almost sixty years it is again on a car that is worthy of it.

Great intro for sure, but lose the address or the
Roadster may be gone in the morning. Hell I want to see it first.
