I am looking for one of you wheel experts out there to ID these wheels. The only indentifier on the wheel is the name Trick-Mag. They are 15 X 10 with a 5 X 4.75 pattern.

Its definately not a Cragar Super Trick but I appreciate the input. I have Google-ed this to death and came up empty handed.

Google search "mini-lite wheels" I think that's what you have. Much more popular on foreign cars, don't know that I've ever seen any in that size with that pattern.

Went through the same thing with my Turner-Palamides wheels...some experts at Billetproof (Ca) told me they had many sets of them, and were making hub caps to fit.
    ($800 a set...he really needed a punch) LOL

  5. They would be period correct on a mid to late 1960s circuit racer such as Falcon, Mustang, Nova II or Cobra.

Look up Vintage Trans Am racing. Those wheels were very popular in that series. Maybe some of the older drivers/owners can add some info.

Minilites were honest-to-God lightweight racing wheels (not sure if they were magnesium or not) made in the UK, and were very expensive. Your wheels appear to be 2-piece, which Minilites were not. I'd say they are a Minilite copy, as the spokes are a very similar shape.

^^^^^^^What he said. I'm pretty sure minilites all have 8 spokes.

34Gaz, I had a poster of the Norm Beechey Monaro side by side with the Allan Moffatt Mustang on my wall when I was a kid!

Panasports and Minilites all look to have 8 spokes. These only have 7. These wheels were destined to be on a road race Corvette being built in the 70's but never finished. They are really lightweight too.

  11. What, no Bob Jane poster, :D

  12. I was thinking Can-Am but I believe you hit it Gaz.

I think impco makes a wheel that resembles them.

The mystery remains. Digging up this old thread, still looking for an answer.

  16. Panasports were a Clone of Mini Lites - the original design of this type of wheel. The Western's existed before Panasport. Panasport are a Japanese Wheel company (they used to sponsor my Rally Car and were quite popular in that form of racing)

I don't think so. These wheels have a recessed area, the Panasports and Mini-Lites do not.

Funny thing is I've seem these faux Mini-Lites before on a 4 lug Mustang II with a 'Shelby' three spoke knock off as the center cap. I think CSI wheels were the name. Shelby made these knock offs for a while in the 70s/80s IIRC. Anaconda comes to mind. Might try looking up Mini-Europa.

There are also 'Saab' Ronal minilites, but they have SAAB cast into the front, and look more like original minilites with the exception of raised lip for the center cap.

Sports car wheels - saw them on cobras, vettes, camaros in the 70's - SCCA - that size were on the back.
