I've wanted to make this race for years but basically three days of driving with a trailer seems like a real deterrent. Four days of racing makes it all seem worth while though. Maybe we'll plan to get there next year.

We will be there with our 7.0 car but my car is bare frame and the block and heads are still at the machine shop. We need to test the 18th at Barona. Any San Diego Hambers who would like to pitch in we can use some help. All others are invited to our pits to say hi and have a cold one.

Jordon, why are you parked this year?

The Pig Roaster in on schedule to be completed by the March Meet. We thought of going with traditional WW and Red rims? But being it is Famoso we thought the Drag Slicks on back be a better fit. Of course the 12V powered wiper motor on the chain drive rotissiere will be pre 64 to keep it period correct. Stay tuned as the build continues. Sorry for the Oilfield clutter in the background. Different camera angle could have shown the 40 Ford Sedan in the corner ;) There is a race car frame hanging from the rafters though. Were waiting for our test pig to sqeal when we fit the spit rod.!

I'm coming down, at least for Friday and Saturday. How does the camping thing work? Do you have to buy a 4 day camping pass or can you get a 2 day? Do you also need an event pass? 2 day ? Can't wait. Thanks

Camping pass 4 day only and 4 day event pass required.
    Would cost $205 total

Besides Chuey's little Cackle Fest, where should one be on evenings away from the track? There has to be someplace to hang with the race crowd. give me some hints. Thanks

If the weather holds out, am going to try to make it in my daily driver. Gotta' get over the hill and most importantly,... back.

I seen a few outside in general parking. Not sure if they prohibit it or not?
Never really paid it much attention.

  25. I park out front cant really take off for the whole thing, but the trailers there for the days I can make it.
And unless you leave the trailer parked out front for a month you wont have anything close to the track anyway.
Besides the 4 day pass/camping fee's everyone has to have the 4 day pass to get to the trailer, my wife or the kids or anyone else can come out for a day or two.
    Look for me out front.
